The wooden dummy (Mook Jong) is a traditional practice tool in Wing Chun and other Chinese martial arts. A typical wooden dummy consists of a round wooden “body,” three wooden “arms,” and a “leg,” which are positioned for practicing Wing Chun techniques. Some other schools use it for their own practice or even have their own unique dummy design. This particular dummy, for example, is designed with two legs to provide for more complex training patterns. The matching hardwood wall-mounting frame is included.
