The wooden dummy (Mook Jong) is a traditional practice tool in Wing Chun and other Chinese martial arts. A typical wooden dummy consists of a round wooden “body,” three wooden “arms,” and a “leg,” which are positioned for practicing Wing Chun techniques. Some other schools use it for their own practice or even have their own unique dummy design. The stand-alone spinning wooden dummy requires less space than most other designs, since it does not need to be mounted to a wall. This item must be bolted onto the floor or other flat, stable surface. It can be set up for spinning only.
